I have the new 16gb white 3G big_smile and I am doing the 60 day trial of mobile me to see if I like it...so far I like it but in order to love it I need to find out how to make it work with my e-mails on a push capacity.

Right now I have 6 e-mail accounts (I run websites) I have a gmail account, my mobile me account, and then a few accounts for my web domains. The settings show that the phone is fetching new mail every 15 min from my accounts except for the mobile me account. That one is pushing my mail and contacts etc.

My question is: How can I get all of my accounts to push to my phone instantly?

I think the Push part needs to also be supported from your email provider...and not all IMAPs work.

I put in my Yahoo email and MobileMe and both show up as Push as default. In the Advanced part of "Fetch New Data" I can change them to either Push, Fetch, or Manual.

I just added my Gmail account and it showed up as Fetch. Going into the Advanced area...I only see Fetch and Manual....there is no Push option.

It seems Gmail's IMAP isn't true Push. However, do a Google search for "Gmail push for iPhone" and you can find some work arounds.

I installed Mobile Me on my Intel iMac and it shows up in System Preferences,however, All the check boxes and drop down menu (manually or automatic) in the Mobile Me preferences are grayed out and in the "Advanced" area, my computer does not show up in the "Registered Computer" column. I have clicked on the "Register this computer" and I get the spinning icon (have actually let it spin for over an hour just to see if it would do anything...NOT).
Does anyone have any suggestions?
