I just saw the latest anti-pot commercial again this morning - where the kid weaves a cocoon of marijuana around him until he emerges as an overweight 30 year old wearing the same clothes and being nagged by his mom to take out the trash.

Granted, that's an awful situation smile, but leaving aside the challenge of causality, is that the best they can come up with? Is that any reason for putting people in jail for smoking it?

It's funny how many people complain about the exaggerations of the war on drugs and then make their own about people going to jail just for smoking pot.

I am amazed at people who keep opining about subjects they know nothing about. People like you.

It's not.  Welcome to the federal government the baby boomers put in power.

It's really tragic, isn't it? Why couldn't we have a government based on the principles that these people advocated instead of these damn boomers?

I don't think any of those people made it into government.

Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.

Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

Re: 35 years and this is it?

Very depressing state of affairs these days.

Firstly, the tobacco smokers in this state just added $1.90/pack in state revenue.

Secondly, I'd have rather had the option of kicking in a couple bucks tax on blunt-to-go that was legally purchased and regulated and taxed.

When the people that actually believe and think that everyone should just quit and the problem would be solved would wake the smurf up and have a big cup of reality. Then we might get somewhere.

One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we've been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. It is simply too painful to acknowledge even to ourselves that we've been so credulous. -Carl Sagan
