President Bush dodges a bullet
Israelis make arrests in alleged plot to assassinate Bush
Israel's Shin Bet counter-intelligence agency said one of the suspects had used his mobile phone to film helicopters at a sports stadium in Jerusalem that was used as a landing site for Bush's delegation.
The suspect then posted queries on Web sites frequented by al Qaeda operatives, asking for guidance on how to shoot down the helicopters, the agency said in a statement.
Sounds like a pretty sophisticated plot!

Sounds like a sting.
"Do you agree that the magical potency of today's ceremony is exactly equal to the magical efficacy of ceremonial baptism with dihydrogen oxide, and do you agree that the power of all magical ceremonies is nonexistent?" After a resounding "amen" from the audience, the first person in line yelled, "Dry me brother! I'm free!"

Sounds to me like a 'credible threat' of a rumor of a possible event that means the Occupant's life is at risk.
Leaked to boost His JAR, imho.

If they wouldn't have had the power to tap Americans' phones, they never could have seen this plot.
QUESTION: What did Iraqi have to do with that?
BUSH: What did Iraq have to do with what?
QUESTION: The attacks upon the World Trade Center.
BUSH: Nothing

I hadn't thought of it that way; my mistake.
Think they can break that ring in the EU waiting for the Dem nominee, too?

Sounds to me like a forum post that has a sensational headline not used in the actual article, for the purpose of instigating sarcastic mockery about how close these guys actually were to carrying out a plan.

Kinda like getting a bunch of doofuses in Florida to be led by an FBI agent in a pledge to support AlQueda.

Sounds like an joint Israeli-US strike on Iran's nuclear facility is under way.
