Need some help w/ this m4a file..

So I have this podcast of Tiesto's Club Life.  In one of his episodes he plays a song I really like.  What software can I use to simply remove this one particular song from the hour long track?  Thanks!

I have QTP but don't really use it.  I prefer to watch vids with VLC so I don't really touch QTP.  What exactly do I have to do?  Thanks for the quick reply, Graphic Autist.

Re: Need some help w/ this m4a file..

Make a copy of the video for safety.

Load the copy into QT and find the segment with your song. Drag the
wedgie-things (I love it when I talk technical) to bracket the song.

Under the View menu, select "play selection only" and play to ensure you
have what you want.

You can fine-tune the selection. Hi-lite the front or back wedgie-thing. Move
it one frame left or right with the left/right arrow keys.

Select "trim to selection" from the edit menu. Under File/Export,
select audio to AIFF or whatever.

Hope this helps.

What he said. I went to bed shortly after I replied, and should have given instructions.

It's pretty straightforward to extract a segment of a song with iTunes (using the start/stop times with re-encoding); you can also use Fission to do it without re-encoding.  QuickTime Pro can also avoid re-encoding in some situations (using Export to MP4 with "Pass-through" quality settings).
