8 GB iPod Touch $179 at Wal-Mart??
I got the latest Wal-Mart flyer yesterday and it shows 8 GB iPod Touch at the every day low price of $179. The Apple Store still lists them at $319 so this seems like a good deal if it isn't a typo. I may go to Wal-Mart to morrow just to see, though I doubt they will have anything so exotic in stock here.

If the walmart flyer doesn't pan out you could try the refurbished Apple iPod section-209 dollars. My refurbished click wheel iPod (40 g) works fine & my refurbished Mac Pro is "bitchin'" esp. with Vista on it.
Just my opinion but I wouldn't pay over 300 dollars for a portable music player unless it was this:

Walmart.ca lists them at $279.83, so it is most likely a typo.
I do see the flier and that ($179.83) is the price they list!!

Even if it IS only $179, can you live with yourself having shopped at Wal-Mart?

Please don't attribute that quote to me. I'd never buy one of those things.

I'm glad to hear I didn't hallucinate the $179 price I saw in the flyer. I'm not surprised it is a typo though - it was too good to be true. But even at $279 it is still a decent discount compared to buying direct from Apple. It doesn't matter much, I have a Shuffle already and considering how much I use that I'm sure a Touch would probably just collect dust too.

My apologies, my typing finger went beyond the call of duty. It was TB that I was quoting.
