You guys obviously weren't subscribing to MacAddict a few years back when they did a mini-review of a 42" 640x480 plasma screen. (which was new and exciting at the time.)
The headline was "Pixels the size of baseballs!"
60 dpi wouldn't be bad at all, especially back a few feet. But it'd definitely be noticable - I wouldn't want to use one as a primary display from a normal computer desk viewing distance.
