So what is Apple trying to cover up????

Seems there was a fire at Apple Corp. HQ, Damage limited to a small part of one building. Pretty mundane.

Except for the self-destructively bungled iPhone 3G episode things have been pretty stagnant in the Apple/Macintosh world for a long time. So I assume the conspiracy theorists and rumour mongers will have an orgiastic time pulling crazy ideas out of their asses over this. Y'know, stuff like the nVidia graphics card in Apple's new prototype octo-8 core Mac Pro started the blaze, rumours of firefighters being forced to sign NDAs re anything they saw while fighting the fire, smurf like that.

Or maybe this is the last anyone will ever hear of it and the Apple experience will continue to be a snooze fest.

Patience is a virtue of the weak for it makes them stand still long enough for the strong to crush them with ease.

It was Steve Ballmer leaving a flaming bag of dog poop.

And here's a link. You're welcome.

A fire broke out in Apple's Cupertino headquarters last night, starting on the roof of a two-story building, and severely damaging it. Initial reports suggest that the three-alarm fire at Valley Green 6 started at or near an air conditioning unit, and was phoned in by workers on site. About 66 firefighters were on scene ultimately—they put the fire out in approximately half an hour. Currently there's no details about what Apple uses the particular building for, so the repercussions are unclear. But luckily it looks like no one was hurt. CBS5.com has some video of the aftermath.

Nah. IT was trying to cook up a real, non-veganburger for Steve, but when he accidentally dumped his medical files in the iBQ, it went out of control. Who knew?

Re: So what is Apple trying to cover up????

Apple fire damage estimated at $2 million   (Less than the value of Steve's black t-shirt collection)
The fire last Tuesday at Apple's Cupertino headquarters caused significant damage, according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department. Although no one was injured during the three-alarm incident, which began at 10PM local time and ended only two and a half hours later, the SCCFD now estimates material damage to be about $2 million. In the immediate aftermath of the fire, tallies on damage were uncertain.

Apple has insisted, however, that the affected building on Valley Green Drive was not a research-and-development facility, a factor that could have influenced the progression of future Apple products. A fire captain with the SCCFD, Daron Pisciotta, also suggests that the fire began not in an air conditioner on the second floor, but on the roof as originally suspected. Construction workers had been performing welding prior to the accident.

No, no. Non-veganburgers, fireplace and med records! :shakefist:

(And Apple is doomed, and sucks. wink)
