iChat was hacked
I just had a little panic, my Mac was somehow taken over through iChat. It wasn't screen sharing but I got an IM from some screen name. Instead of the IM bubble, the message came up in grey text in the center of the IM like the time does, saying yankeesrduhbst13 hi. I said who is this? He replied, not in a bubble, but in the same way, stating my name and something personable about me. I went to block the screen name, but suddenly I get an error telling me iChat Encryption has been disabled, I get booted offline, then iChat quits.
I blocked the username, my friend IMed this screen name but no response. Has anyone ever heard of this? I turned off my Wifi for a few minutes and waited, just in case, but a strange Mac shows up in my Shared on the network.
Should I report this to Apple or something?

Follow the white rabbit.
And get out of the house, now.

Re: iChat was hacked
I would report it to both Apple and AOL since iChat uses AIM. It was likely some backdoor hackery thing to do with the AIM protocol and someone was just pulling a prank , but you never know. The mysterious computer showing up in your shares is a bit concerning though. Are you sure it isn't something on your local network? Maybe try connecting to it...
If you want to be super safe turn off all your sharing services, turn on the Firewall and change your password.
"...by an expert?"
"Worse, a committee of experts."

Yes, change your password immediately. It could be someone messing with you through your WiFi, maybe a neighbor or someone fairly close by.
"You are coming to a sad realization, cancel or allow?"
...sigh.. "Allow."

Re: iChat was hacked
Oh for pete's sake. It's not backdoor protocol hackery, and it's not "someone messing with you through your WiFi," and your password change was unnecessary. Centered, not-bubbled text occurs when the sender starts the message off with "/me" and is called an emote. You had an app crash (not unusual for Apple's junk these days) and have read way too much into it.
If your WiFi is unsecured, secure it. That will remove the "strange" computer in the Shared sidebar.
