The 360's video subsystem lacks the UVD/UVD2 video processor on more recent ATi cards, so the CPUs run all three cores when decoding HD video. It's more CPU-intensive than any game... fortunately it's usually not the CPU that induces board failure, tho it can kick out a lot of heat. Still, it's not doing the Box any good- might want to limit that with your warranty nearing that 3-year-free mark.
You think that MS will see a jump in RROD's when that Netflix service goes live?

I wouldn't know, but I was specifically referring to HD-DVD.

Realistically the Netflix watch it instantly feature isn't as super as it sounds. Lot of the titles that are open in it are crap. There are some good ones but they usually aren't new releases. I'm a netflix subscriber so I know that unless they add a ton of new content for this, its not going to be all that super.
