Re: What is ironic about my dinner?

You rehabbed a hawk, IIRC, and maybe you DID use antiboitics on it?

And does antibiotic free chicken actually taste better or anything?

How do they manage to even do that? I would think in the mass-farm coups, you'd HAVE to use antibiotics...

Re: What is ironic about my dinner?

Antibiotics I don't think tastes any different - but there are some theories that our increasing rate of allergies (IE peanut allergy, which use to be very rare), early diabetes even among thin people, etc. it the result of the stuff we pump into our diet.

There may be some truth to that, though I think there probably isn't one single thing.
I think we eat a lot more meat than we use to, the beef industry did some very successful marketing - that may have a bigger impact than whether or not a chicken had antibiotics.

If he had the twin part down, and included BOTH of you guys, would he be 100% right? Or does each brother equal only 1/4 here?

Re: What is ironic about my dinner?

Eww Marsy, asparagus from a can! Yuck. You gotta go with the fresh stuff man, throw it on the grill with some olive oil and S&P, yummy. Or, just as good, roast it on high in the oven on a sheet pan with Olive Oil and S&P, mmm. I love it when the tips get crispy brown.

I never ate asparagus until this summer. My wife got some from the local farmer's market, grilled it up, and shazam, I was hooked. I'll never go to the canned stuff though, no way. Smells nasty when you heat it.

The bird looks pretty tasty though.
