Re: So, whatcha taking?
I'm taking a Physics and Astronomy 121 course while in school still in the Marine Corps for Avionics Electronics. Also taking a few courses through the Marine Corps Institute:
Leading Marines
Avionics Maintenance Non-Commissioned Officer
Math for Marines (laughably easy, but hey, points towards promotion!)

Take a statistics course to make sure you know about the 1st and 2nd standard deviations, binomial distributions, poisson distributions.
Take a calculus course, even just to sit in for the first few weeks. It helps with the brain.

Hahaha, I literally just finished an Intro to Statistics course through NKO (Navy Knowledge Online) today. And I took Calculus in high school and college, so I might not do that yet.
A set of courses I am taking to help the brain out is a series of Harvard Business courses offered for free on NKO that I can take at my own pace. Loads of fun. I recently took Leading with Emotional Intelligence. Interesting course.

Re: So, whatcha taking?
Did your studies get you to Poisson distributions ? If not, I'm sure google will provide some examples.

Ah, no, unfortunately it stopped at standard deviation and variation for equations, and box charts for graphical representations. It was an intro level class after all. I shall look into that.
