No it doesn't. It can install Max Payne 2, but then it can not find the drive to play the game. It's not asking for the disc, it IS in the drive, it says it can't find the drive, even if the installer had no problem finding it.
Too much trouble.
And since the codeweavers site is down, I can't get help from them.
Max Payne 2 is suppossed to be one of the most compatible games...

Downloaded!
Gawd, it would be so NICE not to have to boot into XP to play STALKER.
I suppose I should expect difficulty, though....

Yes, expect difficulty. It's not guaranteed working solution.

Sure is - but I'm using an old crusty version currently, it will be nice to get to use a newer version.

It's at least $4 Million in revenue losses in 18 hours by my calculations. How milk in the twin cities? Saw it for $2.69 here in Palm Bay.

Well, it's not really all revenue lost since I bet most of these downloads (including myself) would never have bought the software. I'm getting it even though I don't have an Intel Mac yet. But yes, I can imagine the Q4 revenue will be significantly hit or basically zeroed by this, but it may do wonders for their future years?
I hope for the best for them.

This may be true but I'm sure it feels like that much of a hit to them right now.
If there software turns out to be useful they may get many more new customers from word of mouth down the road than they ever would have otherwise.

AUUUUUUGH, I just bought crossover Mac for my macbook 2 days ago
So can I get the crossover games instead, that wouldn't be too bad
What is the difference between the two? I mean besides the games one being optimized to play games. What I'm really asking is, is the games version a superset of the regular version? Will it play games well AND do everything the other version does?

No. I just read in their own forums that I need a no CD patch, and I got it, but I can't make it work.
