Re: iBook G3

I have an iBook 600 G3 640 RAM 20g HD, from 2001 that still runs fine. Of course, I primarily use it for word processing and surfing in the living room now with all photo, video, music tasks moved to the faster iMac. It has been a reliable machine the only thing I have replaced on it in that 7 years is the battery. Kids use it fairly often so it has had some rough handling. I don't cringe as much when the kids are on it as I did even 5 years ago cheers

My 2000 Firewire Pismo G3 held up well over the years (I just sold it). No major problems, except for a long expired PRAM battery and a moderately dimmer screen. And the original power battery still charges. Really well made, probably more sturdy than most current laptops including Apple's.

Still using my Pismo 500... Going on 9 years now... smile
