Web Server running from home
I have a Mac Pro that I use for day to day stuff along with running a web page I built with iWeb. I have been using GeekTool to display the applefirewall log and have seen a line repeating that bugs me.
Allow AppleVNCServer connecting from IP ADDRESS:Port uid = 0 proto=6
EDIT
also getting another line
Stealth Mode Connection attempt to TCP INTERNAL IP:Port from IP Address:port
I don't run a VNC server. I have File Sharing, Print Sharing, and Web Sharing turned on with special permissions set for Folding at Home. So I don't know why a VNC request would be getting sent to me. Especially from where these IP's get traced to. Is this something that I should be worrying about? I really don't get the stealth mode connection attempt one either. Unless it is a request just to see if my IP has a web site on it?
Any good books out there I should read to get more acquainted with running a server?

Re: Web Server running from home
If this is all you are getting you are doing very well. My webserver had hundreds of attempts on it every week.
The first item suggests that your firewall is allowing VNC requests through but if there's no server on port 5900 they're going nowhere. VNC is not a very secure system, as I found out when a piece of Windows malware was left on my VNC server's desktop.
