Having trouble with remote desktop.
I am trying to establish a remote desktop connection from my pc to my mac. I am currently running XP Home Edt. on my pc and OS X 10.4x on my mac.
I am having issues setting it up. According to the ms remote desktop program on my mac my pc is not configured to accept the connection. So I looked up how to configure it but I seem to be lacking the option in the remote tab in my pc properties. There is a remote desktop program on the pc, but it only seems to be there so that the pc can connect to other computers, and not to allow other computers to connect to it. I am really confused now.
Any help would be so great!

Re: Having trouble with remote desktop.
Remote desktop, to my knowledge, runs in a client/server mode. Clients can attach to a server or vice-versa. But clients cannot connect to clients. I think both your computers are in client mode.

Re: Having trouble with remote desktop.
You can remotely login to your PC from your Mac. Install Remote Desktop from microsoft.com/mac. The Remote Desktop on your PC can only be used to login to other PCs.
Hope that helps.

Re: Having trouble with remote desktop.
The last I checked you could not remote into xp home via Microsoft's RDC ... you might want to try a VNC client.
