Internet Explorer 6 Needed for work on Government site
I need to use IE 6 or higher for a government site. I'm on a MacBook 10.5.5. Do I have any options?

Re: Internet Explorer 6 Needed for work on Government site
Which site?
Without you saying, I can only say there are two types of sites the "require" IE. Those that require it for Active X or those that will open in other browsers if you trick the site into thinking your browser is IE. The later are more common. The Government isn't supposed to have either but the former happens and the latter is even somewhat common.
To test what type of site or for the later type of use the following:
Safari: Preferences > Advanced > Check "Show Develop menu in menu bar", restart, & then Develop > User Agent > Internet Explorer 6.0 or Develop > User Agent > Internet Explorer 7.0 (each session)
Firefox: Install User Agent Switcher plugin, restart, & then Tools > User Agent Switcher > Internet Explorer 7 (Windows Vista)
For the former type of site your options are basically run Windows and/or IE via Crossover, Parallels, VMWare Fusion or Bootcamp.

You can also try using Wine, which is the free open-source project that Crossover is based on, and installing IE6 yourself, but it takes some Terminal work.
