Is it just me, or is iTunes lacking these features?

Tell me if I'm an idiot who's overlooking this, but is there any sort of way to crosscheck libraries between your Mac and iPod, So at a quick glance, you can see what music is already on your iPod without having to go back and forth between two libraries?

And are there no bookmarks for albums? I don't know how many times I've come across an album or artist I'd never heard before, would like to buy it, but I'm broke for another 2 weeks. It never fails, if I don't write it down, I forget about it for a year or forever, or even if I write it down, it's 50/50 that I'll even find the list when I remember to buy music. If they are lacking bookmarks in the iTMS, then that's ridiculous. I'm sure I'm not the only one who intends to buy later, and forgets.

Ok, didn't mean to rant, but it's been bothering me for a long time.

Sign in to your iTunes account.  Make sure you are not on one-click purchase.  Put the item in your shopping cart.  Then wait until you are ready to purchase.  The item will stay in the shopping cart until removed or purchased by you.

I always try Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes when looking for the easy way to do things.  Maybe something there will help.

You can drag iTMS preview tracks to a playlist, which is sort of like bookmarking.  You can also drag iTMS links from iTunes into the Finder to create a .webloc file, which is sort of like a bookmark.

Ahhh....that's cool. Roundabout, but at least it works...
