Official MWSF '09 Topic
Keynote is tomorrow. Still wish it were a Stevenote.
For a little bit of extra fun, here is a MWSF '09 Bingo game I found.

Damn, I wanted to make this sticky thread, now that I can. Last year nobody cared.
THIS IS THE LAST APPLE KEYNOTE AT MACWORLD LADIES AND GENTLEMEN.
There's a Macworld expo planned for 2010, without Apple.

Re: Official MWSF '09 Topic
Uki seems to be correct about last year. I couldn't find any 2008 keynote thread.
In searching for that thread, I found these two.
Thread from 2003: "Mac OS in 2008". The main topic was the Finder, iPhoto and holographic interfaces.
In 2005, this thread was hopeful on fast internet in 2008.

Re: Official MWSF '09 Topic
We'll be rocking the live blog once again this year.
I hope they gave Phil something cool to announce. My hope is some kind of hybrid Mac mini/Apple TV that will act as a central media server on your network, plus let you log in from other networks to view content on your laptop or iPhone. With a DVD player since mine is broken.
If any of y'all are going to the show, look out for Robbie with his video camera, roaming the floor reporting on all the haps. Ray and I will be around too, but mostly taking meetings and going to press conferences and exciting stuff like that. But say hi if you see us!

I thought it was worth a chuckle. Not a full-blown laugh, but more than a smirk.

I'm excited to see how Phil does. I'm ready for something different from Apple, and a new face will be nice.

I've been kind of wondering what happened around here. Did someone piss off a bunch of people and get them to leave?

OT, I know, but...
I think the change from MacAddict to MacLife lost a lot of people, and I feel the forums were over-diluted into too many sub-categories around the same time. It's possible that they were a bit over-moderated as well. Also (and it's very possible that I'm the one who's changed) it seems like it's just not as much fun to be an Apple fan these days, as compared to back when I would buy new processors and HDs and graphics cards for my beige G3 tower. These days the mid-range Apple tower is long-gone - though it has never been more economically feasible - and I find myself scratching my head year after year at some of the baffling Steve Jobs decrees which increasingly favor form over function and pointlessly limit options for the end user.
So over the years I've gone from a hardcore macaddict to one of Czac's dreaded "Apple Detractors". I stick around here because I like the people on the forums, and I know at the very least Pariah will share my frustration with Apple. And for the time being I am still a Mac user. Also, MacRumors is so flooded that anything you post will be buried under 100 other posts within minutes.
I do sort of miss the days when you had to race to be the first one to start a thread about some Apple news. Now major Apple stories often blow by with no threads about them at all at MacLife, and there are no crazy irrelevant posts about cats or hammers from Tito.
Anyhow, here's to a good Keynote! Let's hope Phil gives us MacBooks with Firewire and some $1000 upgradeable towers.
