Phone Calls...

I was a MacAddict/Mac|Life subscriber for 3 years, but I finally let my subscription lapse a couple of months ago just because it wasn't the magazine that it used to be and I didn't really find the content that relevant to me anymore.  But, over the last 3 or so months, I have received 8 phone calls from "Mac|Life Magazine", asking to "talk to me about my Mac|Life Magazine subscription."  Every time, I tell them that I am no longer a subscriber and am not interested in re-subscribing, but they keep calling!  Does anyone know who I should contact in regard to my little problem?

Thanks!

Re: Phone Calls...

Tell them to remove your name and number from their calling list.  Ask for the name of the person calling and their supervisor.  Write them down.  Inform the caller that if you receive another call from the company you will be calling the police.

Re: Phone Calls...

Take a second and then inform them you're recording the call, then go through the privacy stuff with them.  Even annoying call center operators with legitimate reasons to be calling you will sit up straight and pay attention if (they think) they're being recorded.

Re: Phone Calls...

That blows! Sorry to hear it.

Yeah, I'd tell them to take you off their list. You could also contact Customer Service via email at mcdcustserv@cdsfulfillment.com and tell them they're never, ever to call you again. If you want to call them, it's 888-771-6222, but i bet you're not itching to talk to them again. Our in-house Customer Service Manager is Mike Frassica, mfrassica at futureus.com, if you want to send him your contact info and get him to take you off the list. Mike's good people; he should be able to take care of it.
