Re: Browsers 2-25-2009
I have 2 basic configurations. Safari 3.2 + SafariAdblock. Then over in Omniweb, I keep Javascript off for most sites. If I need Javascript, I can either activate site-by-site preferences or drag the link to Safari.
I don't feel like bothering with Firefox, except that one day I should reactivate StumbleUpon.

Re: Browsers 2-25-2009
I simply use FireFox. I find myself amused and puzzled by everyone's complaints about, what seems to me, to be extremely minor details. Boy you guys are picky!
I guess I'm of the caveman mentality.
Me need go website. Me have browser. Me see website. Good.
It seems to me to be as fast as I need it to be, reliable, and customizable with what I want.
I'm not dead yet.

Re: Browsers 2-25-2009
My regular configurations go as follows:
Safari 3.2.x
With SafariAdblock, SafariStand, & Glims
(For Ad Blocking, Site Alteration, Taming the download windows, Greater search options)
FireFox 3.0.x
With AdBlock Plus, User Agent Swtcher, History Submenus, Fission, Stop-or-Reload Button, & GrApple Yummy (Blue)
(For Ad Blocking, Taming the History Menu, Making it look more like Safari 3.x)
I can install the following configurations at a moments notice if I need:
Camino 1.6.6
With Leopard Theme (installed via CaminIcon) & User Agent 1.0.1
(For Making it look more like Safari 3.x & Being able to switch user agents)
I'm testing the following configurations:
Safari 4.0 Beta
With SafariAdblock & SafariStand
(For Ad Blocking, Site Alteration, Taming the download windows) *Having issues with Glims
I'm considering testing Omniweb now that it's free.

Re: Browsers 2-25-2009
The trick with Omniweb is: get your main preferences the way you like. Then adjust the white list of good sites: youtube, flickr.
Then adjust each site with the site-by-site preferences. For me, the site preference adjustments usually involve: Javascript, cookies and 3rd party images. Rarely: font sizes and browser identifiers.

Minefield, because it's optimized for the G5.
Also, it does one thing I like that Safari doesn't do (AFAIK). It allows me to use "Fail Redigeerimine Vaade Ajalugu Järjehoidjad Tööriistad Aken Abi" for my menus, which gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Re: Browsers 2-25-2009
I use Firefox 3 with a CSS generic ad and banner blocker that I've also customized for the sites I visit most. I have no complaints at all.
