Canon 5D Mark II + iPhoto '09 = (potential problems?)

anyone here shooting with this camera and using iPhoto '09 to organize?

my wife's M2 is awaiting shipment from Amazon, so in the meantime, i've been digging around to make sure iPhoto's RAW compatibility fit with the M2. unless i'm reading something wrong, it seems Aperture 2 works fine, but iPhoto doesn't.

she's using iPhoto merely as an organizational tool; all editing/processing is done in Photoshop (CS4, dammit... who knew Adobe would pull the rug out from CS3 users on RAW compatibility?). to that end, i don't wanna have to plunk down the cash for Aperture just for use as an organizer.

i've played around with Bridge a bit. should she maybe just bite the bullet and skip out on iPhoto as an organizer completely?

Apple has added support for raw photo files from Canon's vaunted if imperfect 5D Mark II to its Aperture 2 and iPhoto 08 software less than a week after rival Adobe did so with Lightroom.

I would guess that if they added it to '08 you should be fine with '09

no worries, let me know how your wife likes that camera. I'm thinking of getting one myself.
