I was asked by a collegue if there was a way to force iChat to save logs. I thought a good way would be to force it in the programming, but new Mac programming is too strange for me to pick where I could change that preference and delete the ability to uncheck the box. Maybe even remove the box from the window?

I found a couple of files in the package Resources->English.lproj->Prefs_MsgCompose.nib, specifically classes.nib. But deleting anything like

 "_autosaveChats" = NSButton;

didn't help.

Anyone have a little insight into this or even a freeware/commercial product?
