Which Macbook do I choose?

I currently have an iBook g3 dual usb. I am on the market for a newer Macbook, but not sure which one to get. Thought about buying a previous generation of the refurb store, but also like the new aluminum ones.  Those of you who own either one of these, could you give me some feedback on which is the better way to go? I am just torn between the two right now. Any input and advice is appreciated.

Black iPod Nano 8GB, 2nd Gen.

Re: Which Macbook do I choose?

The new white MacBooks do have the upgraded graphics card, just slower RAM. I guess it would depend on whether or not you need FireWire. Personally, I've never used it, but others can't get along without it, so YMMV.

Re: Which Macbook do I choose?

The Aluminum MacBooks' display is much brighter thanks to the LED backlight. They're also a half pound lighter and thinner. They feel a bit more sturdy. I can also attest that, at least in my case, the white polycarbonate - while very durable - will get scratches and such over time. You may also get discoloration on the palmrests and touchpad button, if that sort of thing matters to you.

The Al Macbook can also be had with a faster CPU and the backlit keyboard and the aforementioned multitouch gestures. It's also arguably the greener choice.

Re: Which Macbook do I choose?

Yea FireWire never did much for me. I have been leaning towards the new aluminum one anyways. Thanks for all of your advice and hopefully I will the the proud owner of a new MacBook in the near future.
