Step Up from iMovie/iDVD ?

would Final Cut Express be the next step up for doing DVD's ?

im mostly making slideshows from pictures and adding music

not really editing the music

but i would like more control over  the DVD menu

and syncing the photos to the music in iMovie fails

FCE doesn't have a DVD editor ... just a video editor... So your still stuck with idvd for the menus
