Reductio ad absurdum. A better analogy is: would you enjoy your favorite food as much if it was all you had to eat, and would you still appreciate beauty if nothing was ugly?
How is that a better analogy? I talk perfection and you equate that with lack of variety, I mean, where does that come in at all? I mentioned food because you are implying that you cant enjoy anything if none of it is unpleasant, and I'd say that the vast majority of food I eat is enjoyable, to the extent that I am reasonably sure that if you made it so that even if I never tasted something bad, I think I'd still like to eat. Thats a fine analogy to what I'm saying. Taking that and making the argument about lack of variety doesnt make sense.
I am not referring to the idea of perfection here. I am referring to why there is so much suffering, and why I believe it is ultimately a good thing. And since eating is generally an enjoyable experience for most people, I think a better (and more realistic) application of this idea would be to have no access to food for an extended period. I guarentee this will heighten the joy of eating to new extremes.

Well, knock yourself out.

Christianity has always been an aggressive political movement more than anything.
The religious aspects are just a small part of the larger movement.I disagree, I think it started with devout followers that, with time, grew into large numbers and acquired political influence.
I have to agree with Daddyo as far as Christianity has been corrupted by those who have sought power. Not very Jesus like. For a different example, try looking at St. Francis of Asisi.

As bad as it even seems to me even, I see those involved in established religion and view all others as going to "hell" because they believe otherwise is simply moronic and makes me wonder of their character, or lack thereof. However, I know a few people like this and otherwise they are nice people. It just bothers me they are so judgmental - don't trust them.

It also goes against one of Jesus's teachings. (Judge not lest you be judged.)
