Is there any way to have folding tied to the power source on a laptop?
I really want to get back into folding, but my main computer is a macbook right now, and I have a feeling that running folding on battery power will render my computer little more than a brick in a short while. Is there anything I can do short of manually disabling folding when I'm on battery power?

Even that can get tricky ... I never could get it to turn all the way off so I could render stuff. 100%

The Mac OS X 10.4+ Intel/PPC Universal 6.24.1 on an intel machine. When I have some time I'll install the command line version.

There is InCrease but it hasn't been updated in a while. It will automatically pause Folding when on battery or when specified apps are running. I'm still using it on my Power Mac G4 and it works fine but I stopped using it on my Mac Pro and Intel Mini in favour of the command-line client. It may be worth a try but will probably require some tweaking to get it working the way you want.

I tried it, and it works fantastically! No need for tinkering at all. Thank you ever so much!
I didn't know that either -- Nef
