Downloading music safely
What's the best program to download music (for free, no not iTunes) to a Mac?
I used to try and keep my mac clean by downloading from my old PC and then switching over but now I need to start downloading to my Mac (A Macbook black). I don't want to be bringing in viruses or anything, although I know not many exist for macs yet, I still would like to keep clean.
What do the experts use?

If you really mean "free", your best bet is to straight to the artists and going straight to the source like this should be perfectly safe. Most artists offer at least a couple free teaser tracks on their website or their myspace pages. If you like it they hope you'll buy it and you absolutely should. Support your favorite artists or they're not going to keep at it.
Other than that, the "free" you're talking about stealing and we don't discuss that here.

My friends -do stuff-. That is not exactly clean. You would have to get an antivirus that can scan the download before you effectively download. I don't think there is such a thing as a clean free music download.
