WRT54GL hates me
Okay, I ended up having to reset the router, and now it won't pass the Internet connection through from my DSL modem, even though it worked fine for the last couple months since I got it. And when I set the password for wireless, the router seems to crash. It says it's accepted the settings, and when I hit "Continue", nothing happens; Safari just keeps trying to load a page. Changing other settings works, just not this one. And nothing gets the Internet to come through (wired or wirelessly).
Here's some pictures:
Basic Setup
Wireless Setup - I can set the network name just fine here
Wireless Security - hitting Save Changes is what seems to crash the router and require a reset. Something I did at one point allowed it to accept a wireless password a few times, but I had to reset again since Internet still wasn't working, and now it crashes again every time.

Firewall Settings - Not sure if there's anything I need to do here; I don't quite see the point of having a firewall here, another one in the DSL modem, and a third one in OS X, but
I've also tried turning these things on and off, to no avail.
I also got this interesting message at one point while using the G5 and the MBP at the same time: IP Config error - Not sure if it's significant
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: WRT54GL hates me
question 1.
Why do you have internet connection type set to DHCP? I don't think that's how you should be set up unless your ISP has told you to set it to that.
That setting is how you are connecting to your ISP not how your router is providing services to your home.

!!! ...I did not know that. I've changed it to PPoE, and since it came up with fields for username and password, I provided my DSL account info... although it doesn't seem like that should be needed since my modem is handling that part of it. Anyway, here's the new Basic Setup. Interestingly, I now have an IP address, as the Status screen shows, but still no Internet (browser looks for the page, then times out).

Re: WRT54GL hates me
If they have given you DNS addresses put those in your router as well.
In your System Preferences > Network click the Advanced button.
Under TCP/IP turn the Configure IPv6 setting to Off.
Also, check with your ISP, they may suggest you choose Static IP for your router. Check to see what they say.

Re: WRT54GL hates me

Out of your three suggestions, I turned off the IPv6 setting first. The router's Internet started working again after I unhooked it from the Mac and plugged it in again (or after the second time I did that!). In fact, even though I knew I had to unplug and re-plug things to guarantee they refreshed with the new settings, I can't help but wonder if it was already fixed back when the IP address came in, after I changed it to PPoE, and it just took a few unpluggings before my computer got up to speed with the changes.
So it was either switching to PPoE (duh to my world), or turning off the IPv6 setting that did it, apparently. And I see that wireless is working, at least on my iTouch, so it looks like everything is in order once again. Thank you with cherries on top! You have saved (what is left of) my day!
