Please help!! iBook shuts down
I have an ibook G4 and when i turn it on the login screen comes on after i login it shuts it's self down. I then have to remove the battery to get it to reset and it will start up again. After i login to firefox or safari and go to a web site it will shut itself down and leave the screen dark blue. I tried to remove the battery and use the wall adapter and i still does the same thing. Sometime the fan will continue to run until i remove the battery to shut it down. Any suggestions

Buy a MacBook
Sounds like a hardware failure in the works. Or there is just such extreme corruption on the hard drive that the computer doesn't know what to do. I hope you’re data is backed up, because a mechanical drive failure could cost $500 or so to recover.

Is your power button stuck under the plastic ? That is, is the plastic case of the iBook obstructing the power button ?
It does sound like a hardware failure is imminent. How many minutes does the iBook run before shutting down ?
Is your data backed up ?

my ibook did similar stuff when the VRAM came unsoldered.

The fan on high is a definite logic symptom. There is a controller chip whose solder comes loose on the underside under the dc-in board cable. We do offer logic repair on these guys http://www.myservice.com/logicboards.html
