Audio from a DVD?
I enjoy AC/DC and have all their CDs. I also have a number of their DVDs. Is it possible to take the audio from the DVD and change it to a format that I could then play on my iPod? I realize I probably have most of the songs anyway but having a live version of some of them would certainly add to my listening pleasure. I'm trying to do this with a somewhat 'dated' iMac- a 800 MHz G4 running 10.4.11 with 768 MB of SDRam if that is going to make a difference. I tried using Wire Tap from Ambrosia but it just didn't seem to do the job, capturing only part of a song.
Thanks
Ron

Re: Audio from a DVD?
Rip the DVD to a MP4 with Handbrake or Mac The Ripper and then extract the sound using Quicktime and save as MP3 is one way, I'm sure others will post with more ideas.
Make it idiot-proof, and someone will make a better idiot.

Audio Hijack Pro allows you to record audio from any open application that you choose.
It's been a dream for me.

MPEG Streamclip. It's free, and works great. You won't have to play the DVD while it records, like Hijack.
