Ah, Linux-- the operating system for hackers.
I installed Ubuntu 9 point something on my 20 inch Imac 9,1. It's been a long time since I've used linux, and I'm running into trouble. I can't get sound working, even after patching alsa, and nvidia's drivers can't load glx. Any tips?
But, hey, Wine is running, so I can finally return to the game of Pharaoh that was interrupted eight years ago when I ditched my failing x86 desktop for a iBook. (I'm not just cheap, I have an interest in porting software from linux to the mac, so a point of reference is nice.)
Some subjects actually enjoy pain, and withhold information they might otherwise have divulged in order to be punished.
