Re: OS 3.0

Thankfully, I was not using any accousting modem. All my phones had square appendages.

Re: OS 3.0

No I'm not. We had one at home more or less during that era and we threw it out 3 years ago when we got rid of all the junk at home. What I really am thinking is that Apple really meant to say OS 3.0 will be available June 18.

Re: OS 3.0

I just read that 3.0 won't be released until later this afternoon, like around 1 or 2 Eastern time. I just got home for lunch and was anxious to download ASAP but of course it is not showing up. Now it looks like I'll have to plug my MBP in at work to get it ASAP.

Re: OS 3.0

Syncing with Touch to see if that changes the version to 3.0 in iTunes.

Re: OS 3.0

What is the advantage upgrading my iPod Touch with the software? Just point me to the right location, or a brief description. Either one.

I confess I'm lazy.

I just wanted copy/paste. I use my Touch as a PDA first and foremost so I personally wished they worked on Calendar some more, so you could float events, better reminders, etc. The horizontal keyboard is cool. There is a lot of stuff, but to be honest, many of the big features are for the new iPhone coming Friday. But hey, it's only $10.00 and I'm sure they will continue to upgrade/add some more features or we will get 3rd party apps to make Calendar into what I want it to be.

I got to give the obligatory, "It seems snappier!" This on a 1st gen 16GB Touch.

I wish updating your ipod and phone didn't hijack iTunes.

Re: OS 3.0

For once we didn't get ripped off in the UK on the price.  It was £5.99 which comes to $9.82. smile

Re: OS 3.0

Apple's servers have sure been slammed, sure been slowed. It took me 5 times to Update one app. (couldn't connect) on my Touch. It kept giving up.

Updated and doing the 3.0 iPhone dance.  They actually made the copy/paste easy via touch.  Nice.

I had to stop downloading because I was asked to import pics from the camera. Damn cameras and my parents impatience.

Re: OS 3.0

Are the compass and voice control features only available on the 3Gs? Because I can't figure out how to use them on my 3G.
