Hoo boy, "The angels blinded the sodomites and rescued Lot"? I'm fairly certain Lot did the morally acceptable thing after offered to let the mob get to know his young daughter.

This is nothing new.
It's typical in the faith healing movement.Did you see the video? I did, and by most definitions I would think kicking a child on the floor over and over and holding him down would be seen as child abuse, not religious fervor.
Shrugging off the issue, however, is not what Jesus would do.
Jesus Christ, they kicked the gay out of him ?
Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet." They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

Most of the nuttier Protestant churches are fully independent, altho they may be members of a loose organization but those organizations have zero power over any member church.

There's no such biblical requirement for casting out demons.

No, but better organized churches have guidelines so that guys like numbnuts here don't try to beat the demon out of someone who is gay.

Better organized churches don't have Bishops.
Some subjects actually enjoy pain, and withhold information they might otherwise have divulged in order to be punished.

Re: AT LAST!!! A cure for gayness!
Well no--how a church is organized is a religious question. I like the idea of a congregation being independent and hiring its own pastor rather than receiving an appointment. Others may prefer bishops. "Better Organized" is in the eye of the beholder.
