My iPhone opens the wrong application. What gives?
When I first got my iPhone I set it to not automatically since and to open iTunes when connected. Instead it opens iPhoto and I can't find how to change that in anyway. At first I didn't mind but now it is just bothersome.
Why is it doing the opposite of what I set it to do?

iPhoto sees the iPhone as a camera. In iPhoto, go to iPhone menu > Preferences > Connecting camera opens: [No application].

I'm not entirely sure: You need to edit the preferences of the iPhone itself in the iTunes app. Fire up iTunes, connect iPhone. Make sure syncing is checkmarked for automatic.

I had disabled that because I did not want the phone to sync my sisters music or apps that appeared each time she synced the ipod to the computer when it had new apps.

Is there a way it can happen while the automatic syncing is disabled?

Thank you Nefarious, for clearing my doubts, I was also having the same problem, and you've given me the answer.
Bah... spammer. the signature link shows that the poster is affiliated with iPhone developers.
