Re: The "gayby" boom?

The "proper place" for a child to grow up is one where they are loved and cared for.

Having a physical connection to the caregiver is not needed - but, res, you have that experience, don't you?

Aw, he's no fun, he fell right over.

Unless you become as little children, there's no way you will believe this crap.

My point exactly. It proves nothing.
Funny how almost any anecdotal report given that does not support the left agenda here gets jumped on as anecdotal but such reports that support the left agenda are not objected to. Kind of a double standard.

You offered an "anecdotal report?"

However, what is a valid point is that homosexuals have a much higher statistical occurrence of mental illness / instability, therefore, the argument can be made that placing a child in a home with two parents who are more likely to have instability issues is much riskier than placing a child in a home with two parents who are less likely to have instability issues.

Where are you getting your facts from?

It's quite likely that homosexuals deal with depression and other psychological issues as a result of the stress placed on them by society.  Such issues would likely be screened for in any adoption process--but I think the suggestion that placing a child with a homosexual couple is "much risker" than with a heterosexual couple is ridiculous.

Contrary to popular belief, there are not hundreds of children who are waiting for adoption.
The opposite is true, there are far more families waiting to adopt than there are children to be adopted.

What?  White infants, perhaps!

I provided an anecdote regarding gay couples raising children. You referred to a report that you have yet to reproduce. Not the same thing.

Re: The "gayby" boom?

...and "the argument can be made" is a cop-out.  Are you making the argument that individuals should be screened based upon a statistical likelihood that some characteristic associated with their identity might be present?

Should people who suffer from depression, have previously suffered from depression, or are medicated for depression not be considered as potential adoptive parents?

Re: The "gayby" boom?

You never heard a gayby say, "Daddy#2, I can't wait 'til I can poke my friend at school with MY pencil like Daddy#1 does to you!"?

Well,....I think there was a reason why the Canaanites were eliminated when the Israelites took the land.  Reading about the pagan practices of some of those nations is an eye-opener.  Even in Greek Sparta and some other places, men on boys behavior was considered normal.  Some of the others cut people into pieces, impaled their captives, did ritual burning of children to pagan images, etc.  If those people were so messed up, and kids grew up in such behaviors, it would be difficult to keep many of them from corrupting the Israelites' values.  When they sinned, they lost favor with God.  There is evidence that a great Eastern Mediterranean-area drought & famine may have helped cause the "sea peoples" to invade the E & SE Mediterranean shores, including Egypt & Canaan.  That set the stage for the Phillistines vs. Israel conflicts.  Israel would be blessed, then be lured into detestable practices by the pagans, fall out of favor with God, and get subjugated, 'til God raised up another deliverer to lead them back to Himself.  I dread the same cyclic troubles for America.  We've known freedom for so long, but that could change.

Gashuffer ( who was More or Less ? ) ?

Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.  Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."  They did so, and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew.

Not his style at all.

Either way, it's clearly written by someone who watched his parents have sex regularly. Perhaps even with each other, but that's not clear.

We obviously need good Christian families like the Sanfords, Vitters, Ensigns, Gingriches and Foleys to serve
as strong examples of what a healthy heterosexual relationship should be.

Crankbait, being religious is not a valid excuse for being a bigoted, offensive troll. Once more and you're outta here, for good.

Re: The "gayby" boom?

I kinda ignored it from the start, considering the word "bait" in the screenname.

Re: The "gayby" boom?

There is a lot of talk about hypothetical children and hypothetical families in this thread. Personally, I don't believe hypothetical people should be given any rights at all.

EDIT: Oh snap, I didn't mean to turn this into an abortion thread!
