Yes, but why would you need to tether a iPT to a lappy?  Most lappy's have WiFi.

Re: bluetooth tethering to ipod touch?

Ok then, why doesn't he just get an iPhone?

I was never as happy with my Palm as I've been with my iPT.

While people may dog the approval process for Apple mobile apps, it helps maintain stability and security on the platform. Even at the occasionally strange rational I haven't seen any really necessary apps fail approval. Whereas my Palms always had things crashing, and dieing batteries.

Now, I'm pretty sure Apple has neutered the Bluetooth, limiting it to media(sound) related activity. I just paired my iPT with my desktop. And and even in Vista all it can do is offer audio support. No PIM, serial, or other BT functionality.

It would appear that in order to get full BT functionality one may need to jailbreak. Not that I care to do it.

Perhaps if you just get the WiFi SD card if your Palm has the old standard size SD. If it's micro idk.

If this following device (link) has become a reality then you could maybe do and Ad-Hoc the WiFi,

cost per month ... can't use att due to coverage... have to pay to get out of existing contract... all of his friends use a different carrier... maybe he is on his parents plan and has no say in what phone he gets...

Do you really need me to go on?

Re: bluetooth tethering to ipod touch?

Those are all kind of assumed stipulations to getting one.
