Apple's attention to detail

So I just noticed that 10.5.7 System preferences has a fluorescent bulb for the Energy Saver icon rather than the usual incandescent once displayed.

I may not be the biggest fan of their hardware decisions of recent, but I will always marvel at their attention to detail for the OS.

I've got a regular old watt-stealing Edison on mine.

my Mac pro is January 08 so there goes my theory

so what's the solution to determining who got what bulb?

I'm going to assume it can't possibly be that I hooked my UPS to the USB port once?

Just checked two other machines - 2x2GHz G5 and and an 867MHz Powerbook G4 - both 10.5.7; both are fluorescent.

So there seems to be no correlation between the type of bulb and whether it's a PPC or an Intel machine.

The only thing I can think of is that I always use the Combo Updater (downloaded) to update my kit!???

Que?

No, I mean I always use a (downloaded - stand-alone) Combo update, as opposed to the incremental updates via the Software Update function.

Just a theory.

I'm pulling this out of thin air, but could it have to do with your settings?

I like syncs between my mac and iPod Touch, fast and no problems. No not just iTunes, but the apps that share info between the two platforms.
