Most HDTVs have some kind of "PC video" input, so you just connect the TV as if it was a monitor. You may (or may not) need an adapter.
You may want to have wireless keyboard and mouse for convenience.

when I connected my mini to my tv, the color has a blue/green cast. I have a mini with core 2 duo, hooked to a vga adapter from the monitor port, to the vga input on my tv. I tried matching aspect ratios and resolutions. The monitor looks great, but the tv does not. I tried two tvs, but both Olevia, 20" and 37". Any help?

A dvi will look better .. If you don't have dvi on the tv a dvi to hdmi cable will work
2.66Ghz QuadCore-Nehalem w/24"LED CD ---2.2Ghz BlackMB---15" 2.4Ghz MBP(work)
Dual 2.3Ghz G5 (4G Ram, 2x 250G HD)(10.5 server)--- 400Mhz G4 PM (10.4 Server)
1.5GHz Powerbook---1.6Ghz G5 iMac

Did you try it with a different cable and adapters? That's what the tint sounds like. As mentioned, DVI is better. If your TV has a DVI input you can run it straight there. If your HDTV has an HDMI port you can use a simple adapter. DVI and HDMI are the same video signal.
