Camera battery life, Nikon purchasing

I've been making do with my iPhone camera, but not anymore.  I have to get a camera in the next 3 weeks.

How long do the AA or AAA batteries last ?    In the past, my Nikon camera used rechargeable batteries, but it seems that no Nikon does this anymore.

Re: Camera battery life, Nikon purchasing

You can reliably use them for 3 or 4 days of continuous shooting. For a week long trip I'd pack two sets of replacement batteries, at least one set. If your picture taking is more sporadic, then a fresh set of batteries should last you for several weeks.

Its going to be 2 sets of batteries then.

On to camera selection, being experienced with only Nikons, Adorama has this one http://www.adorama.com/INKCPS9R.html  for $ 73.   Comments ?

Just remember you get the quality you pay for. I like the Nikon Coolpix line for point-and-shoot. I like the body style with the roll over the flat bodies. I feel more secure holding it. Don't want to drop that sucker. big_smile
