So I'm sure you've all heard about the petition, to which I say "wtf?"

They're making a game, it takes time, it takes money, what possible argument is there?

Expense, continued support for things like patches and DLC for the first game. A second full-price game in a year (less of a concern for the well-off). Not exactly TF2-like.

Well literally the biggest reason to downrate L4D PC is Steam. It is a joke of a setup compared to XBL. Still can't even invite folks to a game from within L4D. I click on it, nothing happens...how its always been for me. Its not streamlined at all and to answer a pm, its a mess. Can't do it ingame like you can with XBL via the guide thingy.

Left 4 Dead Lobby Browser [Jul 16, 2009, 8:44 pm ET]

Steam News announces the release of a new patch for Left 4 Dead that adds an Lobby Browser to the zombie shooter. Here's part of the update that explains:

Left 4 Dead has been updated to include a lobby browser. The lobby browser (under Play Online) will show you a list of optimal games available for you to join. The browser pares down the thousands of lobbies and games currently being played to show you the best list of games available to you. This list includes official and add-on campaigns, including add-on campaigns you have not yet installed, making it a great way to discover them. You can filter by difficulty, official and/or add-on campaigns and by lobbies and/or games in progress.

Ya saw it tonight. Literally its nothing new but allowing you to be able to see servers to join which they've had in online games since...ever roll.

I've been playing it fine so far, with 4/8 player rooms I don't really see the need for a lobby list, if you aren't being choosy, quick match, if you want friends, invite friends
