Which Portable HD is better?
Looking at WD passport, WD elements and Seagate Free agent go. These are all USB powered.

Better are likely inbound. Someone, Seagate perhaps, just brought out a 2.5" 1TB drive, IIRC. Put a case on that and you have good portability with high cap.

I like my signatureMini. It's only 250GB but that's enough for a portable and my needs.

G-RAID Mini or G-Drive. G-Technology. Can't go wrong. Impeccable customer service also. They were bought out by Hitachi though -- not sure how that will play out, but I doubt much will change.

Note: the SignitureMini is sold by SimpleTech (Hitachi). They do have other sizes above and below the 250GB.

I use a 320GB WD passport and a 500GB WD passport. They have Firewire and USB connections and work fine with my iBook, G4 tower and G4 Mac Mini. I use one to store my iTunes library so I can connect it to whichever Mac I happen to have with me.
