Re: Quake Live for Mac/Linux Tues, 8/18
I've been twitching daily on the Quake Live servers (as brainiac_7), Free For All only. I lost interest in the other modes since UT. Anyone else Quaking?

I'm SwampNads. Haven't logged much time yet. I've mostly been distracted by the rocket jump tutorial, which was painfully difficult, but I've finally gotten past all three courses, and the hidden bonus course. The compound curve jump was the hardest, by far. The bonus course was more a matter of figuring out "how" to do it (and then not falling).

He excels at [s]sims[/s]-er, RTss- ok, checkers, tho he inexplicably loves L4D. Maybe you can convince him to show his mettle at... oh, I dunno...

(Haven't tried Q Live yet. Not sure if I have time, but I'll let you know if I do. Sturner's a tad shy about the
y stuff...)

I'm finally on, as "Angrbodas." My wife saw me playing, and was horrified by the absolute chaos which is Free For All. Haven't played a live game yet, as I'm still prodding around practice.

I haven't managed to get past course 2 yet. I meandered down course 3 for a few minutes, only to fail repeatedly before having to go to work.
There's what you love to do, and then there's what you get paid to do. Those two things are often different.
