A minor but frustrating iPhoto issue
I have iPhoto 5. When I plug my iPod into my iMac to charge it or whatever, it always brings iPhoto up, I think because I have saved photos on it for backgrounds and whatnot. Anyway, is there a way I can tell it to not open iPhoto whenever I plug it in?

Try opening iTunes when you next plug it in, then click on your iPod in the column on the left, then see if you can deselect that option in one of the tabs, like the Photos tab.
If you look around the table and can't tell who the sucker is, it's you.

Nope, the only option is to sync with iPhoto (which is unchecked, by the way.)

You could try the aptly named "Cameras" Pref Pane. One of the settings when it detects a camera (or iPhone in this case) is Do Nothing which should keep it from opening iPhoto.
