Cellphone companies are the worst.
However, they are correct. There is absolutely nothing that they can do to stop your Caller ID from being spoofed. Now I don't know if AT&T would do this, but maybe you could disable text messaging on your account? Atleast that way you won't get the responses.

It's a pain knowing every call costs you minutes, but one thing that I love about my Tracfone is that I can't be charged more than what I've already paid in.
