If it's any real indication, best to move on methinks; you probably don't want to work there. And I don't suppose the term "Quark" would have made any sense to them either.

Publisher is the number one professional publishing software in the world!

It is, if you are doing 1 or 2 page newsletters for your church, or other home based stuff.
