Missing Folders on Dock - Snow Leopard
After installing 10.6 I was trying to make those fan stacks. I discovered there is supposed to be an applications folder in the new dock which fans out. My installation didn't install such a folder in the dock, and I don't see a way to add it.
How do you add the applications folder to Dock?

Re: Missing Folders on Dock - Snow Leopard
You would simply navigate to your applications folder in the finder, then drag the folder to the right side of the dock.

That's what I though too. Tried it several times. The dock doesn't accept it. Is there any kind of "dock rebuild"?

yourhard-drive / users / youruser / Library / Preferences /
com.apple.dock.plist
com.apple.dock.db
delete those files and restart ... your dock should be back to normal.
