The HHR will soon be replaced by the Orlando. Hopefully they will offer the diesel engine that other markets are getting? Not sure how 7 passengers will do in something that small? Wondering how long it will be before they offer a panel van version? Styling might be polarizing just like the HHR but I like them both!
Congrats on the new delivery rig, Pith!

I was assuming you'd Photoshopped a picture of Pithy's parking lot so as to simulate the removal of his Aspire.
Unless...
That wasn't a real photo was it? Did he really have his Aspire taken away by a forklift at some point?

Yep, I had the Aspire crushed into a cube.*
When the main wire to the headlights melted I felt it was time to get rid of it. That was just one item on a very long list of things that was wrong with that car. #1 on the list was the fact that the blower motor never worked, and living in Minnesota, you need a working blower motor. She had electrical problems galore and over 200,000 miles on her so it was time to say, "bye bye."

'Round these parts, you use a tow truck to get rid of a car.
What ever happened to just parking it in a bad neighborhood with the windows down?

That doesn't do much good if it's not running. Plus, something like that will only make the crackheads suspicious. If they don't have to at least pick the lock or break a window, something's got to be wrong.

Re: Nervous! New Car.
Idiot criminals will do anything if you make it convenient. I've watched the show Jacked on Speed channel. They'll drive off in a nice Audi with the keys in it, on board cameras, and a remote shutoff. Haha.

Drivers in Puerto Rico were pretty bad when I was riding there. Riding from San Juan to Fajardo through Pinones and Loiza was a major PITA. Highway 3 was miserable. You get the idea.
gd, I demand an apology.

Re: Nervous! New Car.
It is like that over here. You gott pay attention and drive your car as well as paying attention for the other drivers. You mispelled Piñones. Did you go to the fluorescent bay in Fajardo? Did you ever ride on the famed carretera 2? It borders the entire island. Did you go to all the tourist attractions at San Juan such as: el Morro, Fuerte San Cristobal, Bodies exhibition, etc, etc, etc?

Because entrapment requires the police to convince someone to do something they wouldn't have done otherwise. I think that making a car more convenient to steal does not count, since non-car thieves tend to walk right by open-top convertibles and suchlike.

Yes, nobody forced the guy to ride by on his bicycle a couple times to kick the door to make sure the alarm didn't activate. Then comes back and drives it away, once task force stops him he tells them his cousin told him he could drive it.

Of course.
Did you know that the PT Cruiser was supposed to be a Plymouth?

Re: Nervous! New Car.
The PT and HHR were styled by the same designer. HHR was designed to mimic the 1949 Suburban.
I tried to sell Pontiacs and Buicks but turned out I wasn't a competent negotiator (too honest a person I guess). Never got a 'call back' from Saturn to sell their no haggle priced cars.

Huh. I knew that, but it's interesting to see them compared.
I'd drive the '49 in a second!

I've left my convertible open many times around town with nary a problem. Thieves are attracted to things like loud thumping stereos and such; and the resale value of parts and what not and the amount of that vehicle on the road -- I think Honda Accords have been the most stolen car for several years.
Of course it also helps that my car has a digital key system that does not even turn the fuel pump on unless it gets the digital code from the key.
