Yesterday-Today

Yeterday was an awful day. It all started two weeks ago when my gal said yes. I became sick and immediately was treated. It has been a week since I recovered but yesterday I had a fever. The chemistry teacher caught me coughing. I was sent to the enfermery. The gave me two pills of acetaminophen and sent me to isolation. After mom picked me up, we went to get me some lab tests. Those went smoothely. The results, not so much. I, luckily don't have swine flu. My hemoglobin was very low. Okay? That's weird. Other stuff were low and  the white blood cells were in an all time high. That indicates an infection. Mom took me to one of dad's collegues. The doctor diagnosed me with walking pneumonia. Bottom line this day has been very crappy. I mised my AP english test, my history test, and the dance off that the p.e. teacher forced us to do.

Re: Yesterday-Today

Sucks that you're sick.

But on the plus side, you did miss that dance off.

Re: Yesterday-Today

I was really prepared for the dance off. I am having a huge problem remembering dates. Today is moms birthday. I hope she doesn't think I am a bad son when she comes home and all I have is the birthday song. How can I make her a gift with extremely limited materials?

Re: Yesterday-Today

Moms don't need gifts from their sons, clean the kitchen and hug her when she gets home (tell her you love her).

Re: Yesterday-Today

Way ahead of you. I cleaned the kitchen, used the broom and moped, I cleaned any glass tables and mirrors and picked up my messes and bathed the dog. Now, all I have to do is wait for her. Dad is back and he bought her a cake. I have taken a very cold shower. Now I feel tired and am having a little difficulty breathing. Not enough to do any bad effects on me but enough to cause a little fatigue. I think this is due to the labor I have done.

Re: Yesterday-Today

You used a moped to clean the kitchen!? Cool!

wink

PS: The cold shower's supposed to happen before and/or after seeing your girl!

Re: Yesterday-Today

No, he was sad that he didn't buy a present, so he moped.

Alternatively, he's young, so we can forgive the occasional misspelling.

There's what you love to do, and then there's what you get paid to do.  Those two things are often different.

Re: Yesterday-Today

What I meant is that I cleaned most of the house including the floors. For that reason I sweped the floor with a broom and I moped the floor.

It was more of a grammatical error than just misspelling the word; the latter didn't happen.

Bren: elaborate on the shower and my girl thing. I took the shower because the fever was way to high, at least high enough for me to notice, and the couple of Tylenols I took hadn't kicked in to do their job. Just what are you pondering and posting about the shower. Sometimes I just don't understand you.

Still sick btw.

Re: Yesterday-Today

There is a popular belief that taking a cold shower will somehow cool one's sexual urges. Other than the ability of coldness to shrink one's tender vittles, I don't think it's actually true. But any time you mention taking a cold shower, that's what most folks will immediately think of.

Along similar lines, it may interest you to know that the guy who invented Corn Flakes did so, in part, because he felt that eating a cold breakfast would help people keep their sexual impulses under control.

Is that why I like southern grits so much.

Re: Yesterday-Today

Perhaps res.

I just woke up when the gardener knocked on the door to ask if we liked how it was and to ask to be payed. When did we get a gardener? I always do the lawn! Maybe it's temporal until we fix the lawn mower. Why wasn't I was to asleep.

On another note I got an email from a freind today asking whether I was dead. My reply was almost and then I wrote the name of the disease I have.
