What kind of video format do I use for the web?
I'm using Final Cut Express 1 and would like to put my edited video on the web. Which file format should I export it to?

custom export h.264 to 320x240 @ 750 kbps for the video, 128kbps MP3 stereo audio.
Should work on basic residential DSL or better, on any mac or PC with releatively recent codec packs.
Or just upload it to Youtube and let them compress it.

Thanks for the great info. When exporting as h.264 there is an option on the video part if you want to optimized for download or streaming. What's the difference between the two?

Not sure. Maybe I'm just lucky, but it always seems to work the same for me either way.
One assumes that if you're posting these on web pages, you would want to optimize for streaming.
