"The link you followed is incorrect or outdated."

Hi all, long time no see.

Every once in awhile I get an email about a thread I have subscribed to, but most of the time when I follow the link, I get a page that says,
"Bad request. The link you followed is incorrect or outdated.
Go back "

So I shrug and get on with my life until the next one shows up in my inbox. The other day I had to clear my browser cookies, which means every time I go to a web board, I have to get logged in again. I got a M|LF alert today, and followed it. Low and behold! It took me to the thread!

Funnily enough, it was a spam post in the 'SCAM! ALL SUBSCRIBERS PLEASE READ!' thread, but I figured since I was here I ought to log in again.

Except - after I logged in again, the same error message came back.

The link pointed to a (spam) post that has been deleted.

Thanks, but what about the 'bad request' error I get only when I am logged in and follow an email alert link? I seem to remember getting them even when I was more active on the board.
